Last week our crew was in the heart of the French Quarter for one of those nights — a Casa Malka activation party at Jewel of the South, the celebrated New Orleans cocktail bar. The room was packed, the cocktails were flowing, and we were there to capture all of it. Casa Malka is a premium 100% agave tequila brand built around bold, fashion-forward celebration — fittingly nicknamed “House of the Queen.” Jewel of the South, set inside an 1830s Creole cottage on St. Louis Street, is one of the most awarded cocktail bars in the country, regularly named among North America’s and the world’s 50 Best Bars. Put a brand built around celebration inside a room built for exactly that, and you get the kind of night worth filming.

Capturing the energy of the night
Events like this don’t pause for the camera, so neither do we. Working with the warm glow of the bar’s globe lamps and candlelight, our team moved through the crowd chasing the real moments — bartenders shaking and stirring behind that towering antique back bar, a beaming server hoisting two cocktails overhead in a toast, guests leaning in over the rail, the easy buzz of a room that’s exactly where it wants to be.
Live event coverage is its own discipline. There are no second takes, so it comes down to anticipation — reading the room, knowing where the next moment will land, and being ready before it happens. The payoff is footage that feels the way the night actually felt.
